Nathanael Martinez is an Interventional Radiology technologist with over 20 years of experience supporting a wide range of complex vascular and endovascular procedures. Throughout his career, he has served as a preceptor, mentor, and clinical educator for new technologists and those preparing for the Vascular Interventional (VI) registry — helping develop competency in both procedural skills and clinical decision-making. IR-specific continuing education has been almost impossible to find. For years, technologists preparing for the VI registry — or trying to stay current after certification — had to rely on generic CE content that barely touched the clinical realities of interventional work.

Every course is ASRT-approved Category A and structured the same way, so you always know what to expect. You work through the lessons at your own pace.
When you finish the lessons, you take the post-course exam. You have three attempts, and passing means scoring 75% or higher. Once you pass, you complete a short course evaluation — a required ASRT field — and your certificate is generated immediately.
The certificate is print-ready and available to download or print as a PDF. Once you pass, your earned credits are reported to ARRT through the ASRT CE Sponsor Suite. You keep your certificate of completion and ASRT reference numbers for your own records, and you can verify that the credits appear correctly in your ARRT record.
These courses are built for credentialed R.T.s who need to keep their ARRT certification current. ARRT requires 24 Category A CE credits every two years — your biennium cycle — with at least 12 of those in your primary or post-primary specialty area. Because every course here is ASRT-approved Category A, the credits count directly toward that requirement.
The catalog also includes Structured Education (SE) courses for technologists on the VI post-primary pathway, which has its own SE requirement covering specific VI content domains. If you are an experienced tech working through Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR), the same clinically focused material supports that preparation as well.
You do not need to be an ARRT member to take a course and earn a certificate — but only current ARRT certificate holders can apply the credits toward renewal or a post-primary requirement.
